Most pages use large images capture the reader’s attention. The photos are sometimes ironic and funny. Most the photos are blunt meaning it follows Esquire’s theme of giving the audience a clear cut idea of what the story is about. 

Esquire issues usually have someone on the cover and they are often men. The images within placed with captions and every article and even sidebars has an image or an illustration.

The various images and illustrations tend to be emotional, quirky and funny in order to caption the tone of the story. The images of the subject give a glimpse into the personality of the subject or the story and sometimes the images reflect nothing about them. The stories mostly come in color.
